My story begins in Los Angeles, a city woven into my name, Luis Alberto. Growing up in the vibrant and diverse culture of LA provided a powerful foundation for my life. Being surrounded by people from all over the world taught me to have an open mind and to appreciate different ways of life. Through my brand, I share my experiences and perspective from this unique upbringing, offering a view of the world through an authentic LA lens.
The Path of Discipline
Village Style Kung Fu
While my city and family built my foundation, Village Style Kung Fu is providing the discipline that completes it. At thevillagewithgusgates.com I focus on hand-to-hand combat, but the training goes much deeper. It is a path to becoming the best version of myself by studying the timeless wisdom of Shaolin Buddhism and Wudang Taoism through our martial arts practice. The invaluable lessons in focus, harmony, and self-control that I am learning are the same ones I aim to share.

This work is heavily influenced by the energy of the South Central LA streets and the classic 80s & 90s hip-hop I grew up with.
